smoke-on-water
Meaning

When I named this site Smoke on Water I didn't mean of the song "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple, even though that song kicks butt on it's own.  I actually got the name idea from the song, but I didn't mean for the concept to relate to it at all.

Back when I first created this site, I needed a name that really represented both Jesse and Emma with a sound that actually made you want to visit the site.  And after I brainstormed through several names, nothing was better than Smoke on Water.

Why is it so great, you ask?

Well, I think it suits both Jesse and Emma.  First off, smoke represents Jesse.  He is a very stong, willing character in the show, yet sometimes over-looked or maybe even unseen.  He seems to loom over everybody else and he is a very sympathetic character toward every member of Mutant X.  I believe that he fully represents the qualities of smoke, and so it clearly fits with his character.  With Emma, I picked water.  Emma is a very mysterious girl, beautiful and nice.  She has a positive impact on everyone, leaving a sense of wonder to those that see her.  She shines through her eyes and her smile, and her personality is nothing of a let-down.  Like the worth of water to all life, Emma fully quilifies to be represented with water.

So, Smoke on Water works mightly well at showing the extreme bond that Jesse and Emma could and should have with each other.  I view a morning lake with that smoky illumination over it in the early hours of the morning.  That is Jesse and Emma.  And that is the explanation for the naming of my site.
